Life in a Week...

Tools

The students will need to take storytelling photos with any digital camera, they may use their phone or a digital camera if provided.
When examining the compositions in the camera there are some important questions to yourself about the image/picture. Does the picture tell a story? Does the audience see what I'm trying to show them? Click on the link below and review the top ten rules of composition.
Top Ten Composition Rules
After reviewing the top ten rules to composition, take a look at the "Rule of Thirds" lesson found in the button below. This lesson will teach you more about strong composition. Implementing the techniques learned in the rule of thirds lesson will help you compose storytelling images that will communicate effectively with your audience.

Rule of Thirds
After you've studied the " top ten rules of composition" and the "rule of thirds", you are ready to start taking storytelling pictures. After you complete your "Daily Routine" photo series and have documented one to two "Outstanding Moments" in your Life in a Week project, it's time to produce your audio and video presentation using VoiceThread. Take a look at the following video to learn how easy it is to make media using VoiceThread. The VoiceThread account will be provided to you by the project administrator.
